Asian Games 2018

Asian Games 2018, August 24-26, 2018 in Jakarta Indonesia (Jakarta Convention Center), a remarkable experience where the 1st Ju Jitsu competition in Asian Games was held. A large event that improves and motivate our outstanding athletes and all our participants around the Asia to bring the field of Ju Jitsu in the best level.

It is a great honor and exceptional achievement for Ju Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) and Ju Jitsu Asian Union (JJAU) that Ju Jitsu sport has been included in the Asian Games 2018. In the long run of our desire to be part of the history of Asian Games, we have successfully accomplished our first attendance to the second largest event in the world.

As this is our first time in Asian Games, everyone has shown their endless support and brought their best performance to showcase and lead Ju Jitsu sport to the way of Olympics.

The marvelous event was attended by the warm presence of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), JJIF President Mr. Panagiotis Theodoropoulos, JJAU General Secretary Mr. Fahad Al Shamsi who stand as the President of JJAU on the behalf of H.E. Abdulmunem Al Hashmi during the Asian Games, and the President of Indonesia Ju Jitsu Federation Mr. Desi Albert Mamahit, Dr. Jaffer Al Muthafer the Dy. Secretary General of JJAU, Mr. Joachim Thumfart the JJIF Sport Director.

Of course, this competition won’t be completed without our registered 195 athletes from 27 countries around the Asia who have been to an intensive training to prove to everyone especially to their respective countries that they can do more than they expected. Event managed by the Technical Delegate Mr. Rodrigo Valerio and Mr. Subhan Prasandra as the Competition Manager and supported with 29 ITO’s from different countries around the world. From the first day of competition to finals, the operation was operated smoothly with the help of the local organizers and volunteers.

With the preference of the overall result in this dominant event, UAE is leading the 1st rank with 2 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 2 bronze medals, followed by Kazakhstan with 2 gold medals and 3 bronze medals, Jordan took the 3rd Place with 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals complied by Kyrgyzstan in 4th Place with 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals and in the 5th place of Korea with 1 gold medal and 1 bronze medal.
