Dr. Husain Al Musallam

I’m very happy to be in the Olympic village in the beautiful city of Tashkent.

I see that the work is progressing in the right and fast direction.

I have seen the sports facilities, from the cycling track and the football stadium, to the athletics track, the swimming pool complex, and the other facilities, all of which meet international sports standards and requirements.

These sports facilities will be important for the future of Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 and the city of Tashkent. The first reason is that they will give Uzbekistan the opportunity to host major international tournaments in the future. The second reason is that these facilities will help develop the athletic youth of Uzbekistan and will also be used by individuals in the Uzbek community to engage in their sports activities. The presence of these sports facilities in this Olympic city, along with other sports facilities in the city of Tashkent, will qualify Tashkent to host larger tournaments and sports events than the Asian Youth Games.
